Well, To start with what is your opinion on social impacts of facebook,

Mine is that it is good and bad, it just depends on what the person is using it for, whether its to contact family members or to cyber bully.

Facebook can be twisted in many ways, like people are using it for the wrong things, ie.. To contact children younger and ask to meet up; to bully people; basically to use it in the wrong manor.

Facebook should have an age range, even though people abuse it now, you should have to prove that your the age it says you are, or accounts should be shut if your sending types of messages that are inapropriate, or parents or carers should be aware of the things there chrildren are doing.

Comment and give your opinion....

  1. I, Sophia Pham, personally do think your child or anyone in this matter can get bullied. Because messages can be misunderstood and things become personal. Also it's easier for the bullies to bully you because they hurt someone elses feelings over the internet.

  2. I believe that social implications of ITare bad because of websits like facebook ect. They involve things like cyber bullying which is a big problem now days, also it causes laziness of going outside and getting up to do things. When you could go out for a walk and talk to your friends face to face now you just sit down on your computer or laptop and type away to your friends. Here is another list of things :

    · Depend too much on computers- become lazy + unfit
    · Once youv’e posted something , you cant take it back- its always there
    · You can access anything
    · Increased accidents- constantly texting + emailing
    · More distractions- facebook instead of homework
    · Cyberbullying- people get bullied over the Internet
